Weldon George was a cadet pilot in the CPTP in 1942 at the Lubbock Municipal Airport.  George trained in Breedlove's CPTP then left to be a pilot instructor at Avenger Field in Sweetwater, TX.  George taught British cadet pilots then WASP's before leaving for Connecticut to be a test pilot.
