CLENT BREEDLOVE
CIVILIAN PILOT TRAINING PROGRAM
PRE-FLIGHTS PROGRAM
1939-1945

Earl Dietering
Acie Earl Dietering was a pilot instructor for Clent Breedlove in the CPTP in 1942.  Dietering also taught Texas Tech Pre-Flight cadet pilots in 1943-44, including James Fagan.  Dietering gave Fagan his final "check ride" in 1944 for Fagan to earn his basic pilot wings after ten (10) hours of flight time.

Below is a photograph showing the Breedlove Airport "night crew" as Earl Dietering called them.  This photo was taken around March or April of 1943.  Dietering is on the front row, left with cap and sunglasses.  Also pictured in the photograph is the Chief Mechanic of Breedlove Airport, Mr. Jarvis Nowell.  Mr. Nowell is on the front row right side with a light-colored overseas cap wearing jumpsuit or overalls.  The right side of this photograph is shown below.

These persons were also part of the Breedlove Airport "night crew".
